ALSA Conference Thailand 2019

The theme of the event will be on "Privacy Rights". Privacy Rights has always been a key issue in the digital era and was making headlines earlier this year with the European Union's (EU) recent release of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The purpose of the GDPR is to provide a set of standardized data protection laws across all member countries. However, the regulation will apply to firms outside the EU as well with the regulation attempting to control how the data of EU citizens' and residents' is stored and transferred.
